Workshops
The Farm offers a variety of workshops in traditional crafts combining traditional and new methods.
Mosaics: The mosaic charm has been a source of inspiration and expression for generations. We will study the artistic, technical and practical aspects of this historical art.
Paper Craft: The art of papermaking - its origins, characteristics, sources and styles. We will learn about its ecological implications and prepare paper from recycled materials, paper remnants and plants. Together we will create both decorative and useful objects.
Weaving, Plaiting and Basket-making: The possibilities are endless for both artistic and practical use. Some of the methods you will learn have been used for centuries while others are new, creative ideas from recycled and natural materials.
Herbology: Learn to identify and use plants and herbs for a variety of medicinal, health and cosmetic purposes. Learn to look at nature and the great outdoors from a unique perspective and come to appreciate all it has to offer.
Ceramics Workshop: What hasn’t been said about the earth and its wonders? Get your hands dirty, touch and feel this basic element. Learn the different characteristics and types of earth and the techniques to work with it. Practical relevance will be put on how to use earth in our daily lives both for practical and aesthetic use.
