Permaculture Design

Permaculture is a sustainable design system stressing the harmonious interrelationship of humans, plants, animals and the earth. The system was first developed in Australia over 30 years ago and is taken from the words Permanent and Culture - Permaculture. Its goals are to preserve and integrate local cultural and agricultural knowledge with new scientific and philosophical ideas and discoveries in order to create a healthy human civilization able to repair, restore and preserve its surroundings. The course is open to anyone who wants to examine the influences of global consumerism and to learn how to plan systems that work within the laws of nature and in harmony with the environment; from personal daily choices to broader community and environmental planning.
Throughout the course participants learn how to apply and implement Permaculture Design concepts in a variety of areas:

  • Horticulture and Organic Gardening
  • Water collection and recycling
  • Ecological Building
  • Community development and urban rehabilitation
  • Home and work systems and more….

The course is an internationally recognized 72 hour Permaculture Design Course. The course is offered in Hebrew, but sufficient interest could open an English course.
