Community Gardening on the Farm Site
In spite of our evolution as city dwellers and mass consumers, mankind has an undeniable need to keep a connection with the earth, to grow produce and be a partner with nature. Hava & Adam offers individuals and families an opportunity to maintain plots of land for organic gardens. For a symbolic 100 shekel a month (about $28) community gardeners receive the right to farm a 323 square foot plot of land, watering, compost, instruction, seeds and seedlings as well as use of the plant nursery, tools etc. Plot sizes usually fit the needs of an average family, who can be seen enthusiastically working their gardens and successfully growing vegetables, herbs, flowers and trees. We are happy to invite others to join.
